Awayless quietly keeps your Teams, Slack, and Zoom presence active on a schedule you control — with a humanized rhythm no fixed-timer tool can fake, and verification that shows what your status actually is.
Free 7-day trial · macOS 14+ · Apple Silicon & Intel
WORKS WITH Microsoft Teams · Slack · Zoom · Webex · Discord
Fixed-interval tools are trivially detectable — they fire every N seconds, forever. Nothing human does that. Awayless doesn't either.
Every wait is rolled fresh — steady cadence, quick flurries like real typing, natural pauses like a coffee run. Never long enough to trip the Away threshold.
A random clock-in and clock-out inside windows you set, on the weekdays you choose. Workday and overnight presets, one click each. No two days look alike.
Optionally link Microsoft Graph and see the status Teams is actually reporting to your colleagues — with a warning the moment it would show Away.
Stands down while you're genuinely in a meeting, and stretches the shift when tomorrow starts early. Your calendar never leaves your Mac.
Every nudge is measured, not assumed: verified, you-were-active, or blocked — with a 7-shift coverage history so you know it worked last Tuesday too.
No accounts, no analytics, no telemetry. The only network calls are the optional presence check you link yourself and a version ping that sends nothing.
Then it lives quietly in your menu bar — a cup with a ring that fills as your shift runs down.
Drag to Applications, grant Accessibility once. Awayless nudges the system idle timer — it never moves your cursor or steals focus.
Workday, overnight, or custom windows. Awayless rolls fresh random clock-in and clock-out times inside them every day.
The menu-bar ring shows your shift at a glance. Start early, end early, or pause any time — two clicks from anywhere.
No subscription. No account. Buy it once, use it on your Macs.
Free for 7 days, full-featured. No card required.
No. Awayless resets the system idle timer with the same API caffeinate uses, plus a zero-distance mouse event at your cursor's current position. Your cursor never moves, your focus is never stolen, and nothing is ever typed.
Awayless is designed to be indistinguishable from normal activity: randomized intervals, natural pauses, randomized daily schedules, and an optional stand-down during real meetings. Nothing is installed in Teams itself and no traffic is generated. That said, no tool can make guarantees about every monitoring setup — use it in line with your workplace's policies.
None. There's no account, no analytics, and no telemetry. If you link the optional Teams status verification, your Mac talks directly to Microsoft's API and the sign-in token stays in your Keychain. We never see anything.
It reads your own presence from Microsoft Graph (the Presence.Read permission — the least-privileged one that exists) so the app can show you exactly what your colleagues see, instead of guessing. It's optional and off by default.
macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple Silicon and Intel. It's a ~2 MB menu-bar app with effectively zero CPU and battery cost.
